Supported telematics devices

Live tracking in Trace4X comes from a telematics device installed in the vehicle. These are the devices integrated today, and what works without one.

Supported

Geometris

Geometris telematics devices report the vehicle's position and engine data to Trace4X. Devices are matched to vehicles by serial number.

Supported

PacificTrack

PacificTrack telematics devices report the vehicle's position and engine data to Trace4X.

What a device reports

  • GPS position, speed and heading
  • Ignition on / off and trips
  • Odometer and engine hours
  • Fuel level and engine RPM
  • Engine fault codes
  • Vehicle VIN

Available data depends on the device model and the vehicle.

Networks and regions

The Geometris and PacificTrack devices we support use North American mobile networks. For fleets in Europe and elsewhere, integrations with additional telematics devices are planned.

Planned

We are working on integrations with telematics devices made for European networks. Tell us which devices your fleet uses or plans to use.

Tell us your devices

Without a device

Everything except live tracking works in any region, with or without a telematics device:

  • Scheduled inspections and DVIR
  • Issues and defect reporting
  • Maintenance reminders, work orders and service history
  • Assets and equipment
  • Chat and notifications
  • Duty status, fuel and documents in the driver app

Driver phones

The driver app runs on iOS and Android phones. It doesn't replace a telematics device: Trace4X never tracks vehicles from the driver's phone alone.
